Greek League, Game 18: February, 24-25, 2007
Jeremiah Massey - Aris TT Bank There were no changes atop the Greek-League table over the weekend as the top three teams in the standings, Panathinaikos, Olympiacos and Aris, were all winners in Week 18. Panathinaikos crushed Egaleo on the road 62-90, Olympiacos overcame Maroussi at home 71-53, and Aris edged Panionios 80-70 in Thessaloniki. Meanwhile surprising Olympia Larissa recorded its 11th victory and moved closer to reaching the playoffs for the first time by topping Olympiada Patras 72-80 on the road thanks to 20 points and 5 boards from Matt Walsh. In other games, AEK Athens defeated Makedonikos 85-65, Panellinios crushed AE Larissa on the road 65-85 behind 21 points and 6 rebounds from Michalis Pelekanos and PAOK beat Apollon Patras 78-72 in Thessaloniki.

Panathinaikos had an easy job in Egaleo, coasting to the 62-90 win. Sani Becirovic led the Greens with 18 points and 3 assists, while Milos Vujanic scored 15 points, Ramunas Siskauskas added 12 points and 5 boards and Nikos Chatzivrettas and Mike Batiste had 11 points apiece. Avraam Kallinikidis led Egaleo with 17 points, 6 boards and 4 assists. In Piraeus, Olympiacos used its defensive spirit to dump Maroussi 71-53. Sofoklis Schortsanitis led the Reds with 18 points and 5 boards, Giannis Bouroussis added another double-double of 13 points and 13 rebounds, Panagiotis Vassilopoulos had 11 points, 5 boards and Alex Acker added 10 points and 3 steals. Former Olympiacos swingman Renaldas Seibutis posted 11 for Maroussi. Aris came up big after three consecutive losses in both the Euroleague and the Greek League by topping Panionios, 80-70. Jeremiah Massey led the Yellows with 19 points and 6 rebounds, while Alex Scales bagged 17 points and Terrell Castle added 16. For the visitors, Andre Hutson and Kennedy Winston scored 14 points apiece.

In Thessaloniki, PAOK was strong down the stretch to edge Apollon Patras 78-72. Vlado Scepanovic was on fire with 24 points and 4 assists, while Drago Pasalic scored 16 points and grabbed 13 boards and Djuro Ostojic added 14 points and 6 rebounds. Jimmy Oliver led the visitors with 26 points and 6 rebounds and Kostas Pashalis added 10 points and 6 rebounds. Jasmin Perkovic had a double-double with 17 points and 12 rebounds to push AEK to overcome a 10-point halftime deficit and down Makedonikos, 87-66, at home. Brent Scott had also a double-double of 12 points and 12 rebounds, while Christos Tapoutos added 17 points, Makis Nikolaidis 10 points and Giannis Gagaloudis 9 points and 6 assists. Jeremy Montgomery led the visitors with 17 points and 6 boards.
