Polish League, All-Star Game: March 4, 2007
Andrew Pluta - Anwil Grady Reynolds from Polonia Warsaw was named MVP after scoring 16 points to lead the South over the North 87-77 in the Polish All-Star Game on Sunday Wroclaw. The South squad led from the beginning, built a double-digit advantage in the opening quarter and had 16-points edge at the half. But in the third quarter, the North came back and cut the gap to just 2 points. The final period belonged to the South again, which strengthen its defense and escaped for good. Reynold scored most of his points on dunks leading, four South player in double figures. Turow’s Thomas Kelati added 13, while Anwil’s Andrzej Pluta and Robert Witka from Turow both finished with 11. Polpakąs Harding Nana led all scorers with 19 points for North, while Aaron Pettway from Kager had a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Rashid Atkins from Prokom added 12 points, 3 assists and 4 steals. Atkins was the Prokom’s player in action because Christian Dalmau and Adam Wojcik both were injured. Reynolds also won a Slum Dunk Contest, while Polpharma’s Ivo Kitwinger took the three-point shootout, beating Anwil’s Andrzej Pluta in the final.
