Lamont Jones - Lukoil Academic Lukoil Aademic Sofia took another step towards defending its title when it edged rival CSKA 81-85 in a Bulgarian League top-class outing. Todor Stoykov scored 19 points and grabbed 7 rebounds for Academic, which led 35-41 at halftime and extended the cushion to 56-67 at the end of the third quarter. Lamont Jones added 16 points, Riste Stefanov 13, Georgi Davidov 12 and Donta Smith 10. Dimitar Marakovski nailed 17 for CSKA. In other games, Balkan needed overtime to beat Levski 81-78 behind 25 points and 5 steals from Pavel Noykov, and Spartak Pleven topped Cherno More IG 96-76 as Hrisimir Dimitrov amassed 23 points and 8 rebounds.
