Terrell McIntyre Montepaschi Another weekend, another Italian League win for Montepaschi Siena, who stays atop the standings at 19-3 with a four-game lead over everyone else by downing Whirlpool Varese 74-61 on Sunday. Rimantas Kaukenas and Terrell McIntyre led the winners each with 18 points, as Siena stayed unbeaten at home in Italian League action. VidiVici Bologna and Armani Jeans Milano tied for the second place at 15-7. Vidivici took the big Bologna derby by downing Climamio 81-92 on the road on Sunday morning. Christian Drejer paced the winners with 24 points while Tyus Edney had 23 points for Climamio. Meanwhile, Armani Jeans beat Snaidero Udine 91-84 behind 20 points from Massimo Bulleri. Lottomatica Roma improved to 13-9 by edging Bibop Carire Reggio Emilia 83-85 on the road on Sunday. David Hawkins and Erazem Lorbek led the winners each with 19 points. Meanwhile, Eldo Napoli dropped to 12-10 due to a 88-75 road loss against Air Avellino while Valerio Amoroso became the game hero for Premiata Montegranaro, as his final basket allowed the team to beat Benetton Treviso 71-70 at home. In other games, Siviglia Wear Teramo edged Angelico Biella 78-74, TDShop.it Livorno bested Upea Capo d'Orlando 96-92 while Tisettanta Cantu downed Legea Scafati 100-85.

Montepaschi Siena improved to 19-3 and stays unbeaten at home in the competition by downing Whirlpool Varese 74-61 on Sunday. Kaukenas and McIntyre led the winners each with 18 points. Joseph Forte added 11 while Romain Sato had 10 for Montepaschi. Kaukenas and Lonny Baxter combined for 14 points in the second quarter to give the hosts a 40-33 halftime edge. Montepaschi boosted its margin to 60-45 late in the third quarter and never looked back. Climamio Bologna dropped to 10-12 due to an 81-92 road loss against archrivals VidiVivi Bologna in both teams' 99th derby on Sunday morning. Drejer paced the winners with 24 points while Brett Blizzard added 22. Edney had 23 points for Climamio, Marco Belinelli added 21, James Thomas 15 and 14 rebounds while Stefano Mancinelli scored 12 points for the hosts. Drejer led VidiVici to a 13-24 lead after 10 minutes while a three-pointer by Vlado Ilievski made it a 19-point game, 29-48, at halftime. Edney and Mancinelli brought Climamio back into the game, 71-73, but Drejer, Blizzard and Dusan Vukcevic stroke from downtown and the hosts never recovered. Eldo Napoli dropped to 12-10 due to a 88-75 road loss against Air Avellino. Ramel Curry paced the winners with 29 points. Tyrone Ellis had 15 points for Eldo, Ansu Sesay 13 and Michel Morandais 11. Napoli trailed all the way since the second quarter and even when it managed to get within 78-72, Curry had 6 points in a 8-0 run that sealed the win.

Lottomatica Roma improved to 13-9 by edging Bibop Carire Reggio Emilia 83-85 on the road on Sunday. Hawkins and Lorbek led the winners each with 19 points, Dejan Bodiroga had 18 while Mire Chatman added 10 for Roma. It all came down to the final 2 minutes, while Hawkins took over with back-to-back three-pointers and a layup to put the guests ahead for good. Benetton Treviso dropped to 13-9 due to a 71-70 road loss against Premiata Montegranaro. Ronald Slay led the winners with 16 points but Amoroso became the game hero by winning the game with a buzzer-beating basket. Marcus Goree had 17 points for Benetton while Preston Shumpert and Spencer Nelson each added 14. It all came down the final seconds, as a three-pointer by Jobey Thomas brought the hosts within 69-70. Montegranaro opted to foul on Nikos Zisis, who missed twice from the free throw line with 19 seconds remaining. The hosts had to inbound the ball with a second to go, but Amoroso found space to win it for Montegranaro. Snaidero Udine dropped to 9-13 due to a 91-84 road loss against Armani Jeans Milano. Bulleri paced the winners with 20 points. Jerome Allen had 16 points for Snaidero, Mike Penberthy added 15, Kristaps Valters 13 and Damon Williams 10. A three-pointer by Valters brought Udine within 66-65 after 30 minutes but Milano sealed the outcome in the final 3 minutes.
