Jeremiah Massey - Aris TT Bank Aris TT Bank defeated Olympiacos for second time this season, 70-59, to climb into second place in the feature game this weekend in the Greek League. Both teams are now 17-4 in the standings – two victories behind league-leading and defending champion Panathinaikos – but Aris is currently in second due to the head-to-head tiebreaker and would have the home-court advantage should the clubs meet in the playoff semifinals. Jeremiah Massey posted a double double of 21 points and 11 boards to lead Aris. Meanwhile, Panathinaikos thrashed Panellinios 107-77, Makedonikos surprised PAOK 77-73, Egaleo downed Olympia Larissa on the road 75-83, Maroussi edged AE Larissa 89-71 and Panionios beat Apollon Patras 69-63. The game between Olympiada Patras and AEK Athens was interrupted after 5 minutes due to serious crowd incidents and the use of tear gases, which forced the referees to suspend play. A decision on a possible replay of the game is expected during this week.

In Thessaloniki, Aris led 46-32 , but Olympiacos came up big to tie the score at 55-55 with 6 minutes to play. The hosts didn’t panic and thanks to their superb defense managed a 9-1 run, which helped seal the victory. Massey added another double-double with 21 points and 11 boards and also had 2 assists and 2 steals. Terrell Castle scored 20 points and made 4 clutch free throws in the last minute. For Olympiacos, Andrija Zizic had 12 points and 6 rebounds and Scoonie Penn 11 points and 3 steals. Panathinaikos registered its 19th victory in 21 games, 107-77, over Panellinios, ending the visitors' five-game winning streak. Dimitris Papanikolaou bagged 18 points, making 5-of-7 from downtown, while Dimitris Diamantidis and Milos Vujanic scored 13 points apiece. Sani Becirovic added 12 points and 4 asssts, Nikos Chatzivrettas had 11 points and 4 assists and Dusan Sakota and Dimos Dikoudis contributed 10 points each. Anthony Goldwire led the visitors with 20 points, while Nikos Economou and Sotiris Karapostolou chipped in 14 points apiece.

Makedonikos surprised PAOK 77-73. Ozi Misic and Dimitris Karadolamis scored 17 points apiece for the hosts, while Vlado Scepanovic finished with 20 points in defeat. Egaleo beat Olympia Larissa on the road 75-83 and took a big step towards remaining in the top league. Maris Laksa scored 20 points, Keidren Clark 18 and Nikos Pettas 15 for Egaleo. Savo Djikanovic bagged 19 points, Giorgos Printezis had 17 points and Mirca Kurtovic 13 for the hosts. Although Panionios trailed Apollon Patras for more than 30 minutes, it finally won by 69-63. Kennedy Winston scored 17 points, Nikos Hatzis added 14 points, Panagiotis Kafkis and Andre Hutson had 11 apiece for the hosts. For Apollon, Ivo Josipovic bagged 20 points and Chris Garner added 19 points. Ermin Jazvin scored 24 points and grabbed 15 boards to lead Maroussi over AE Larissa 89-71. Danya Abrams added 17 points and Alexis Kiritsis had 14 for the hosts. Hector Romero led AEL with 17 points.
