Greek League, Game 21: March 17-18, 2007
Aris TT Bank defeated Olympiacos for second time this season, 70-59, to climb into second place in the feature game this weekend in the Greek League. Both teams are now 17-4 in the standings – two victories behind league-leading and defending champion Panathinaikos – but Aris is currently in second due to the head-to-head tiebreaker and would have the home-court advantage should the clubs meet in the playoff semifinals. Jeremiah Massey posted a double double of 21 points and 11 boards to lead Aris. Meanwhile, Panathinaikos thrashed Panellinios 107-77, Makedonikos surprised PAOK 77-73, Egaleo downed Olympia Larissa on the road 75-83, Maroussi edged AE Larissa 89-71 and Panionios beat Apollon Patras 69-63. The game between Olympiada Patras and AEK Athens was interrupted after 5 minutes due to serious crowd incidents and the use of tear gases, which forced the referees to suspend play. A decision on a possible replay of the game is expected during this week.
