British League, Week 27: March 16-18, 2007
Poujoulat Heat Guildford stayed atop the British Championship standings with a 25-5 record despite not playing this weekend. The Sheffield Sharks stay second at 24-7 after a busy two-game weel. The Sharks downed London United 107-81 on Friday behind 35 points and 16 rebounds from Jeff Bonds. The Scottish Rocks downed the Sharks 80-71 on Sunday. Sterling Davis led the winners with 21 points while Bonds had 18 points for the Sharks. The Rocks rounded a perfect week, as it had beaten the Chester Jets 79-81 on Friday. Davis scored with 4 seconds to go to give the Rocks a valuable road win. Alto Virgil led all scorers with 27 points for the Jets, while Davis had 18 to lead the Rocks. On Saturday, the Marshall MK Lions edged the Plymouth Raiders 78-80, the Leicester Riders beat the Jets 94-77 while the Newcastle Eagles topped the Worcester Wolves 92-102 to stay third in the standings at 22-9. Tony Dorsey led all scorers with 36 for Newcastle while Tom Perkes had 30 for the hosts. On Sunday, the Guildford Heat topped the Wolves 88-70 while London United topped the Riders 89-81.
