Defending champion EiffelTowers Den Bosch raised its record to 31-2 by edging Polynorm Giants 81-77 on Thursday night. The hosts led 27-15 after 10 minutes, but the Giants climbed within 42-36 at halftime and entered the last quarter down only 59-57. But EiffelTowers held on, with Travis Young leading the way with 22 points. Kees Akerboom added 19 and Sharon Wright amassed 13 points and 13 rebounds. Monwell Randle was the high man for Polynorm with 21 points and 14 boards. In other games, Darnell Hinson scored 14 points to help Hanzevast Capitals beat Matrixx Magixx 93-79, while Tamien Trent drilled 23 and dished 8 assists as Astronauts downed Upstairs Weert 84-72. Omniworld Almere thrashed Landstede Zwolle 96-73 behind 28 points from Derek Paben and in the only away win of the round, Woon! Aris topped Zorg en Zekerheid 65-84 led by 19 points tallied by Herman Favors.
