Eddie Shannon - BC Ventspils Defending champion Ventspils raised its record to 10-0 by downing Barons/LMT 69-56 in Latvian-League action. An 18-7 run in the first quarter gave the hosts the decisive advantage that they managed till the final buzzer, Raimonds Vaikulis led the way with 16 points, Eddie Shannon added 14 and Dusan Jelis and Uvis Helmanis netted 11 apiece. ASK/Jun beat Falco/Kei 73-86, while ASK Riga picked up three consecutive wins to improve to 9-1 in the standings and second place. Riga thrashed Falco/kei 59-98 on the road behind 14 points from Martynas Andrukaitis, then downed Liepaja 73-86 as Sandis Valters drilled 16, and edged Barons 82-74 on Sunday.
