Austrian League, Game 2: October 6-8, 2007
Defending champion Allianz Swans Gmunden cruised to another easy win in the second round of Austrian League action on Saturday. The Swans held kelag Worthersee Piraten to 5 first-quarter points in taking complete control en route to a 45-78 victory. Peter Hutter led Gmunden with 19 points, Deteri Mayes added 17 and Kevin Johnson made his presence felt with 15 rebounds. Selmir Husanovic paced the Pirates with 16 points. Kraftwerk Wels was also a big winner on the road, topping BasketClubs Vienna 72-89. Kendrick Davis led five Wels scorers in double figures with 22. Also Saturday, BSC Raiffeisen Furstenfeld beat Arkadia Traiskirchen 91-82 behind 20 points and 13 rebounds from Shelton Sidney Colwell, while Oberwart Gunners outlasted UBSC Graz 57-73. In Sunday's fixture, Xion Dukes Klosterneuburg outscored UBC St. Polten 98-105 and on Monday, Dragan Miletic scored 21 points and dished 5 assists to lead okoStadt Gussing Knights past Kapfenberg Bulls 77-70.
