The Koln 99ers outlasted Brose Baskets 94-92 in overtime at the end of an intense encounter. Yassin Idbihi forced overtime and Aleksandar Nadjfeji scored the game-winner for the hosts. Both times Bamberg had the last ball with a chance to win/tie the game, but Daren Fenn and Predrag Suput missed their respective shots. The game was close and intense throughout and came down to the final seconds. Demond Greene’s free throws with 12.3 seconds left gave Bamberg an 80-83 lead. Then the visitors fouled Misan Nikagbatse, to keep Koln from attempting a three-pointer. Nikagbatse made the first, but missed the second and Idbihi scooped in for the rebound and converted it into his first points of the game to tie it at 83-83. Darren Fenn’s last-ditch attempt to win it for Brose Baskets at the buzzer missed and the game went to overtime. The game remained tight for the extra period and Suput tied it at 92-92 with 34 seconds remaining. Nikagbatse missed from long range, but the rebound fell to Toby Bailey, who fed Nadjfeji for what would be the game-winner. Suput would still have one last shot, but he missed allowing the 99ers to celebrate the win.
