Polish League Finals, Game 7: June 4, 2008
Milan Gurovic led Prokom Trefl Sopot to its fifth consecutive Polish League championship Wednesday with a 70-76 road win over regular-season champ, PGE Turow Zgorzelec. Gurovic scored 11 of his 36 points in the fourth quarter, including the go-ahead three-pointer and late free throws to ice the win with 14 seconds remaining as Prokom won Game 7 in the thrilling best-of-seven series. The game was an even battle throughout the second half and went down to the final seconds. After Turow's Robert Witka and Thomas Kelati fouled out, Gurovic took over, hitting 2 big free throws and nailing a clutch jumper. Vjeko Petrovic and Iwo Kitzinger missed triples for the hosts' last chance allowing Prokom to celebrate the victory and another title. Gurovic led the way with 36 points and 10 rebounds. He hit 5 triples and was perfect in 11 attempts from the free-throw line. Igor Milicic added 9 points and Filip Dylewicz finished with 7 for the winners. David Logan played all 40 minutes scored 26 points for Turow. Kelati added 16 for the runners-up.
