Romanian League Finals, Game 7: June 5, 2008
CSU Asesoft Ploiesti wrapped up its fifth consecutive Romanian League championship on Thursday after topping U Mobitelco Cluj Napoca 82-66 in Game 7 of the best-of-seven finals series. Bojan Obradovic scored 25 and Arvydas Cepulis had 23 for the winners. Cluj had the early advantage and led 22-34 midway through the second period. However Ploiesti stormed back with 12 unanswered points to tie the game and after a Rashard Griffith slam took a 41-38 halftime lead. Ploiesti continued to dominate in the third quarter with a 16-5 push led by Obradovic to take a 62-48 advantage heading into the fourth quarter. The lead swelled to 20 in the last quarter as the home fans began to celebrate another Romanian League title. Zoran Krstanovic paced Cluj with 23 in defeat.
