Joventut downed MMT Estudiantes 70-85 in the Spanish capital on Saturday behind 15 points from Rudy Fernandez and Jan Jagla. Estudiantes cut its deficit to 39-40 right after the break, but Demond Mallet and Fernandez boosted the guests' margin to 53-65 after 30 minutes. Estudiantes did not get back in the game, allowing Joventut to escape with a win. Real Madrid also improvd to 7-1 by edging iurbentia Bilbao Basket 74-69 in Madrid on Sunday. Felipe Reyes led Madrid with 17 points, Louis Bullock added 14 and Alex Mumbru 10.
