The Everton Tigers keep leading the British Championship with a 11-2 record, with the Scottish Rocks second at 11-3 and defending champions Newcastle Eagles third at 10-3. Most of the teams played in the British Trophy this weekend, that started this week. The Tigers confirmed its good moment by downing the Cheshire Jets 91-101 on the road on Sunday. Andre Smith led the winners with 28 points while Josh Gross added 23 for Everton. The Eagles downed the Sharks 88-98 in Sheffield on Saturday, as Trey Moore led 5 Newcastle players in double digits with 19 points. In other British Trophy games, the Worthing Thunder topped the Plymouth Raiders 92-103 with 31 points from Janis Ivanovskis, the Guildford Heat thrashed London Capital 98-75 while the Rocks edged the Sharks 85-80 behind 27 points from Blake Shelton. Only two British Championship games were played this weekend, as the Raiders edged the Heat 83-90 with Brad Wierzbicki leading 6 players in double digits with 24 points while the Wolves downed the Jets 107-93. Anthony Paez paced the winners with 30 points.
