Vernard Hollins led the way for the winners nailing 25 points, Tony Brown added 18 and Maxime Jacquier and Nenad Delic netted 16 each. Duane Erwin paced Vacallo, which was very close to a three-peat, with 21 points, while Matt Schneidermann added 20 points, Rickey Gibson scored 15 and Nikola Dacevic 14. Vacallo led 20-13 at the end of the first quarter, but 12 consecutive free throws missed in the second gave a 36-29 advantage to Starwings at halftime. The last two quarters the teams exchanged leads and arrived tied at 71-71 at the final buzzer. In the overtime, head coach Patrick Koller's men went on a 20-12 run, showing more consistency and accuracy to take a deserved win and make club history.
