Zalgiris leads the Lithuanian League standings with a 21-0 record, with Lietuvos Rytas second at 17-4. Zalgiris thrashed Nevezis 104-69 in Kaunas on Thursday behind 20 points from Paulius Jankunas. Marcus Brown added 13, Arturas Milaknis and Mantas Kalnietis each had 12, DeJuan Collins got 11 while Tadas Klimavicius contributed 10 and 13 rebounds for Zalgiris, that led 36-13 after 10 minutes and never looked back. Rytas registered a 96-82 road loss against third-ranked Rudupis. Vytenis Lipkevicius paced the winners with 20 points. Milko Bjelica led Rytas with 17 points. Simas Jasaitis added 15, Martynas Gecevicius had 14 while DJ Strawberry got 13 for the guests, that trailed 85-71 midway through the fourth quarter and never recovered. Siauliai edged Techasas 77-72 in overtime at home on Wednesday, as David Weaver had 17 points, Mindaugas Zukauskas and Darius Gvezdauskas each added 15 while Zygimantas Janavicius got 11 for Siauliai, that rallied from a seven-point deficit in the final 4 minutes to force overtime, 64-64. Zukauskas and Gvezdauskas shined in crunch time to win it for the hosts. In other games, Neptunas beat Sakalai 86-76 while Kaunas bested Naglis 63-73.
