Belgacom Spirou Charleroi trashed Verviers-Pepinster 100-55 to stay atop the Belgian League table with 10-3 record. And Telenet BC Oostende downed Liege 61-80 to stay in second place at 9-5. A great defensive first half gave a 55-19 margin to Spirou at halftime, which set the stage for an easy win. Caleb Green led the winners with 25 points, Chris Hill nailed 21, Trevor Huffman 12 and Amaury Jadin 10. Telenet Oostende already led 41-28 at halftime at Liege court, and behind 20 drilled by Matt Lojewski finished with a big win. Dragisa Drobnjak added 17 points while Chris Booker, Kennedy Winston and Brent Wright netted 11 apiece. Liege got 22 points from Dominic Waters. Antwerp Giants edged Leuven Bears 59-51 thanks to a 22-13 third quarter, led by 17 points apiece posted by Darnell WIlson and Timothy Black. And Dexia Mons-Hainaut topped Optima Gent 65-70 behind 20 points and 11 rebounds from Ronell Taylor.
