Lukoil Academic pounded Chernomorets 87-53 to ensure that it will finish the regular season with the best record in the Bulgarian League. The defending champs outscored Chernomorets by double figures in each of the first two quarters to take a 47-24 halftime lead and never looked back. Andre Owens led the attack with 19 points, Lamont Mack added 13 and Bruno Sundov and Pavel Marinov 11 each for the winners, who improved to 24-3. Second-placed Levski Sofia held Rilski Sportist to 9 first-quarter points and then held off a late rally for a 75-80 victory. Marcus Hall scored 22 to lead Levski. In other games, Tundja Yambol blasted Balkan 92-61 and Spartak Pleven bested Euroins 80-94.
