CEZ Nymburk finished the first phase of the Czech League regular season with a 25-1 record after it outduelled NH Ostrava on the road 82-90. Nymburk led 44-53 at halftime and stayed in control for the duration as Petr Benda led the way with 16 points, Lukas Palyza nailed 14 and Pavel Pumprla added 13. BK Prostejov took second place with 21-5 record as it ended the first round of the league with a 67-82 road victory over B&W Opava. Pacel Slezak paced the winners with 16 points. BK Decin downed BK Pardubice at home 92-82 as both teams ended with 19-7 records, but the point differential (+1) in the head-to-head between the two gave Pardubice third place by a nose. Levell Sanders led the winners with 18 points, while Pavel Hosuka contributed 17 points and 15 rebounds. USK Prague got by Chomutov 82-92 on the road in overtime, led by Vojtech Hruban’s 22 points. In other games, Svitavy edged BC Kolin 85-79; Plzen routed Usti nad Labem 75-68 and Levice polished off Inter Bratislava 76-66.
