BCM Gravelines stayed atop the French League table with a 15-2 record after it took out Nanterre at home 69-61. Nanterre made the hosts work, taking a 47-52 lead at the end of the third quarter, but the hosts took off on a 12-2 early run in the fourth to take over the game. Ludovic Vaty led the way for Gravelines with 14 points, Andrew Albicy had 12 while JK Edwards and JR Reynolds drilled 10 apiece. Chalon held on to second place with 14-3 record after overwhelming Poitiers at home 83-65 behind 32 points and 8 assists from Malcom Delaney. Paris-Levallois defeated Hyeres-Toulon on the road 80-91 led by of Jawad Williams, who buried 31 points, including 6-of-8 from downtown. The win gave Paris-Levallois a 12-5 record and a tie for third with Orleans and Nancy. Orleans got its sixth consecutive win, routing Le Mans 86-74. Cedrick Banks posted 21 points and Amara Sy 14 to pace the winners. Asvel Lyon Villeurbann pulled out a big 70-82 road win over Sluc Nancy, which has lost three of its last four games. An 11-22 partial in the last quarter made the difference for the guests, who were led by Kim Tillie’s 18 points, while Edwin Jackson added 15. Akin Akingabala paced the losers with 21 points and 9 boards. Cholet Basket outfought Le Havre 70-74 on the road as DeMarcus Nelson netted 22 points and Fabien Causeur added 19. In other games, Dijon defeated Chorale Roanne 61-52 and Strasburg buried Pau-Lacq-Orthez 94-69.
