BCM Gravelines widened its lead atop the French League after it routed SLUC Nancy 83-61 and Nanterre outgunned second-place Chalon-sur-Saone 99-109. Gravelines had no trouble with Nancy, taking a 25-20 lead after the first quarter and adding to it from there as Rudy Jomby netted 19 points, nailing 5 of 8 from beyond the arc, while J.K. Edwards and Ludovic Vaty contributed 13 points apiece, with the latter adding 9 rebounds. Gravelines climbed to 22-3. Will Daniels starred for Nanterre, racking up 31 points on the way to a 99-109 victory over Chalon, which dropped to 20-5. Orleans held on to the third spot with a 17-8 record after overwhelming Dijon 82-55 behind Brian Greene’s 17 points. Cholet upended Le Mans 76-87 as DeMarcus Nelson buried 27 points, along with 4 steals, and Patrick Christopher knocked down 26 for the winners. Le Mans slipped to 16-9, tied with Nancy and Paris-Levallois for fourth place. The Parisian side took care of Poitiers 73-87 as league scoring leader Eric Chatfield knocked down 23 points. In other games Asvel Villeurbanne hammered Hyeres-Toulon 92-68 and Roanne defeated Pau-Lacq-Orthez 87-97.
