German League, Regular Season, Game 28: March 17-20, 2012

The top three teams in the German League picked up wins over the weekend, while fourth placed Artland Dragons suffered a loss to Fraport Skyliners. Brose Baskets Bamberg sits alone in first place followed by ratiopharm Ulm and Alba Berlin. Bamberg built a 36-48 halftime lead against Eisbaren Bremerhaven and coasted the rest of the way for a 67-80 victory. Brian Roberts scored 19 and dished 6 assists, Tibor Pleiss added 13 points and PJ Tucker posted 12 points and 9 rebounds as Brose Baskets improved to 25-3. Two wins back is Ulm, which pulled away in the fourth quarter to beat Telekom Bonn 87-74. Isaiah Swann scored 20 and John Bryant had 18 points and 10 rebounds. Alba Berlin was a 69-80 winner at EWE Baskets Oldenburg as Bryce Taylor scored 17 and Derrick Allen recorded 12 points and 11 rebounds. Skyliners got 15 points from Jimmy McKinney in a 60-66 win at Artland. FC Bayern Munchen used aggressive defense to beat s.Oliver Baskets 72-62 for its fifth straight victory. Chevy Troutman and Jared Homan each posted double-doubles for the winners. The other winners in the German League over the weekend were BG Goettingen, TBB Trier, Phoenix Hagen and EnBW Ludwigsburg.
