Over the weekend, Olympiacos and Panathinaikos won respective Greek League games postponed due to the Turkish Airlines Euroleague playoffs. The Reds trashed 85-60 Kavala to stay in the first place domestically, while Panathiniakos survived an 81-82 thriller on the road against Panionios to retain second place, on victory behind their rivals.
Kostas Papanikolaou amassed a double-double of 22 points and 10 boards to pace Olympiacos to a comfortable 85-60 home win over Kavala. The Reds keeps the first place in the Greek League table with a 22-1 record. They took a 25-7 lead after 10 minutes of play and never looked back. Papanikolaou had a near-perfect shooting performance with 5 for 6 on two-pointers, 2 for 3 from downtown and 6 for 6 from the foul line. Kostas Sloukas netted 16 points with 6 assists, Giorgos Printezis bagged 12 and Kyle Hines added 9. Aleksandar Damjanovic tallied 14 points for the visitors, Michael Taylor 12 and Nikos Angelopoulos 10.
Panathinaikos took a thrilling 81-82 away win over Panionios as Mike Batiste scored the game-winning layup with three seconds left on the game clock. Over the buzzer, Billy Keys missed a three-pointer that would have won the game. Panionios had led 27-20 to open the game, but the Greens used 0-15 run to surge in front 27-35. Panathinaikos soared ahead by 59-76 after 37 minutes, but Panionios made an epic comeback to lesd 81-80 thanks to a three-pointer by Nikos Barlos. Stratos Perperoglou paced the Euroleague Turkish Airlines defending champions with 15 points, Dimitris Diamantidis posted 14 points and 6 assists, Mike Batiste got 11 points and Sarunas Jasikevicius tallied 10 points. Barlos chipped in 14 points for the home team, John Diebler netted 11 points, Billy Keys recorded 11 points and 6 assists and Vassilis Xanthopoulos had 10.

With the Greek League games of Turkish Airlines Euroleague Quarterfinalists Olympiacos Piraeus and Panathinaikos both postponed, Aris was the team that stole the show locally over the weekend. The Yellows registered their fifth consecutive victory by overwhelming visiting Rethimno 78-60 to improve their record to 11-12 and move into sixth place. Aris had an easy time thanks to its rich offensive options and effective defense on the perimeter, as they forced Rethmno to a poor 3-for-29 three-point shooting. Dimitris Verginis paced the hosts with 15 points and 4 assists, Sergio Kerusch recorded 14 points and 8 rebounds, Christos Tapoutos produced a double-double of 12 points and 12 boards, Dimitrris Tsaldaris added 11 points and Giorgos Bogris 10. For Rethimno, parted ways with Greek League MVP Lamar Wright, Brent Petway posted a double-double of 18 points and 10 boards and Dionte Christmas added 13 points and 6 boards. In Glyfada, PAOK suffered an 82-64 loss to host Ikaros and is in danger of missing the playoffs. Nikos Pappas tallied 12 points and Dimitris Kalambaks scored 11 points for the visitors. Sasa Vasiljevic led Ikaros with 16 points. In other games third placed Kolossos Rhodes thrashed Peristeri 83-53 behind 20 points from Scottie Hopson and Drama overwhelmed Maroussi 96-58 as Edin Bavcic recorded 17 points and 7 boards.
When Olympiacos made up its game, Κostas Papanikolaou posted a double double of 22 points and 10 boards and paced the Reds to a comfortable home win over Kavala, 85-60. The Reds took an early lead, 25-7 after 10 minutes of play and didn't allow Kavala to react. Kostas Sloukas netted 16 points and dished 6 assists, Giorgos Printezis bagged 12 points and Kyle Hines added 9 points. For the visitors, Aleksandar Damjanovic tallied 14 points, Michael Taylor 12 and Nikos Angelopoulos 10.
