Zalgiris reasserted its dominance in the Lithuanian League with a pair of wins over the weekend to extend its unbeaten record to 18-0. The defending champs pounded Baltai 83-62 on Saturday and avenged a recent Baltic League loss to Rudupis with a 71-88 victory on Sunday. Baltai kept it close through halftime and even led 38-42 early in the third quarter before a 20-3 Zalgiris run made the difference. Mindaugas Kuzminskas led the way with 18 points and 10 rebounds and Tadas Klimavicius added 14 points for the winners. A day later, it was Paulius Jankunas leading the way with 25 points and 7 rebounds. Tomas Delininkaitis hit a pair of threes in a 1-10 second-quarter surge en route to a 37-46 halftime lead that set the stage for the win. Dainius Salenga added 13 points and Delininkaitis 11 for the winners. Valdas Dabkus paced Rudupis with 16 points. Meanwhile Pieno zvaigzdes climbed into fifth place at 11-7 with a 73-59 win over Kedainiai Triobet. Trevon Hughes led the charge with 18 points.
