CSKA Moscow downed Triumph Lyubertsy 99-83 to stay in first place of the Russian League with a 10-1 record. Andrei Kirilenko led the way scoring 20 points with 9 rebounds and 3 blocks, Nenad Krstic tallied 19 points, while Andrey Vorontsevich, Jamont Gordon and Sasha Kauns added 12 apiece. The hosts led 52-42 at halftime and never looked back. Unics outdueled Enisey on the road 69-77 to take a 5-4 record. Henry Domercant and Lynn Greer drained 22 points apiece for the winners and Kelly McCarty added 11. Enisey pulled to within 1 point twice in the second half: at the midpoint of the third quarter, with the score at 44-45, Unics answered with a 12-1 run, then at 61-62 in the fourth, Domercant scored 9 consecutive points to gain a 64-71 margin, which proved decisive. Khimki raised its record to 7-2 after a thrilling 53-56 road win over Spartak. The hosts seemed in control after 30 minutes, leading 48-41, but Khimki opened the final quarter with a 10-0 run and clamped down defensively, holding Spartak to just five points. With Khimki up 48-51, both teams hit three-pointers before Kresmir Loncar sealed the win with a jumper from the top of the key. Loncar led the winners with 17 points and Zoran Planinic added 13, while Valery Likhodey and Janis Strelnieks had 10 each for Spartak. Lokomotiv Kubans downed Nizhny Novgorod 79-68, as Jeremiah Massey nailed 19 points and pulled down 15 rebounds, Ali Traore had 17 points and Sergey Bykov added 16. Krasnye Krylya edged Spartak Primorye as 78-71 behind Brion Rush’s 18 points.
