Turkish League, Regular Season, Game 25: March 31 - April 2, 2012
Galatasaray Medical Park and Anadolu Efes both won to remain tied atop the Turkish League standings and Banvit stayed hot on their tails by winning too. GS Medical Park bested Besiktas 92-81 on Monday, a result that dropped the visitors to fifth place at 18-7 – four wins fewer than the co-leaders. New signing Nihad Djedovic debuted with 17 points and 5 assists to pace Galatasaray, which dominated the middle two quarters 49-31 to set up the win. Cevher Ozer added 14 points and Jaka Lakovic, Preston Shumpert and Jamon Lucas had 13 apiece for the winners. Pops Mensah Bonsu led Besiktas with 16 points and 11 rebounds. Efes held on for a 77-70 win over Antalya. After taking a 12-point lead through one quarter, Efes’s lead slowly melted away until the hosts reasserted themselves late. Oliver Lafayette paced the winners with 17 points and 8 rebounds and Kerem Tunceri added 12 points. Frank ELegar posted 14 points and 12 rebounds in defeat. Banvit topped Turk Telekom 82-76 as Serkan Erdogan led a balanced scoring effort with 14 points.
