Turkish League semifinals, Game 2: May 17-18, 2012

Both Turkish League semifinals series are squared up at 1-1 after Anadolu Efes and Besiktas Milangaz won Game 2s on the road. Efes took down Banvit BK 75-81 behind 15 points apiece from Dusko Savanovic and Kerem Tunceri on Friday. The day before, Besiktas bested Galatasaray Medical Park 72-81 as David Hawkins and Zoran Erceg combined for 45 points. Efes and Banvit were close from the start with the score tied after one quarter, 18-18, and at halftime, 40-40. Lance Williams and Serkan Erdogan helped Banvit take a small lead in the third quarter, but Cenk Akyol had it square at 69-69 midway through the fourth. Then Tunceri and Savanovic fueled a 1-9 Efes run, which proved to be the difference maker down the stretch. Erdogan finished with 20 points and 4 assists in defeat. Besiktas and Galatasaray played a tight first half that ended with the hosts up 40-39, but the visitors rode Erceg and Serhat Cetin to start the third quarter with 10 unanswered points and never trailed again. Hawkins finished with 24 points, Erceg added 21 and Cetin and Carlos Arroyo netted 13 each. Boris Savovic scored 17 and grabbed 7 rebounds and Huseyin Goksenin Koksal added 13 points in defeat.
