Here we are, just a few days away from the Final Four, and that means of course the showdown between us and Panathinaikos. These two teams have been rivals for decades and we are meeting on center stage in Berlin. The stakes are high and I know the energy and emotion will be high as well.
I can say this for sure: it's a battle between two very deep teams. They have very good players at every single position, just as we do. It's hard to name their primary weapons, because on any given night anyone on their side can play well. Fortunately, Olympiacos has the same luxury. We have so many players who can explode for big games. That's makes us hard to stop.
Our fans have been non-stop for the past eight months about the importance of beating Panathinaikos. We have no shortage of fan support. It seems to me that something like two-thirds Greece's entire population are Olympiacos fans. We have such a great fan base. Their motto is: "You will never walk alone." It's very cool playing for fans like them.
I am also excited that my family is coming to watch these games. My mom and brothers are making the trip from Los Angeles. This will be their first time to Berlin and mine as well. Hopefully, it will be a fun trip for all of us.
