Dusko Savanovic - Power Electronics ValenciaHello everyone! This is Dusko Savanovic of Power Electronics Valencia and as you know, we play against Real Madrid for a Final Four spot on Thursday. Are you going to miss the game? Not me, of course! I have to play (and win), but if I were a fan, I would not make plans that night! I would be lying if I didn't say we are nothing but 120% ready for the game. Everybody is feeling good and we know this will be one of the games of our lives. I can only speak for myself, but I guarantee everyone is ready to play this game. This is a historic game, nothing else, and especially for Power Electronics Valencia, which has never been in this situation before. It is a positive wait, the kind of tension that can help us.

Everybody is supporting us in Valencia! Take Game 4, for instance. We were down 1-2, had just lost at home and were with our backs to the wall and not only was the gym was full again, they gave us even better support. Everybody is ready to help us, from fans to everyone in the club. Whatever happens, happens, but they support us no matter what and that is team spirit. Everybody is fully aware that we may do something big - go to the Final Four! Speaking of Game 4, we had a great fourth quarter that allowed us to tie the series. We didn't repeat the same mistakes as in the previous game. We plan to be focused from the first to the last minute. It wouldn't have happened without the big support from our fans. All the journalists were talking after the game about the great basketball atmosphere, which had never been seen before at the Fonteta - or so they said. I cannot thank them enough for that. We have to win the game for us, the club and our great fans.

Dusko Savanovic - Power Electronics ValenciaHello again! This is, as always, Dusko Savanovic of Power Electronics, getting ready for Game 2 of the Quarterfinals here in Madrid. Game 1 is already in the books and there is nothing we can do about it. We had a very good chance to win it but didn't manage to do it. The series is not over - no way! - and we have shown we can compete against Madrid on a 40-minute basis. We are not going to cry over this loss. What happened, happened and that's the end of the story. We have to leave that behind and think about the next game. We have another chance to win in Madrid on Thursday and we cannot afford thinking about Game 1 more that the half an hour after it ended! I am sure Madrid forgot about it already and this is what both teams will do, all series long - play a game and start thinking about the next one. It is the only way to win the series, too.

There are two keys words to our loss in Game 1: offensive rebounds. Madrid grabbed 21 offensive boards and this is the main thing we have to improve on Thursday. It was one of the biggest problems and let's face it, people can blame us for not doing out job well. At some moments, I was double-teaming and focused on things other than boxing out. In the end, I can say that offensive rebounds were our biggest problem, it is a big reason for our loss. A lot of balls fell in their hands and every loose ball happened to be theirs! Again, I don't want... more

Dusko Savanovic - Power Electronics ValenciaHello and welcome once again, my name is Dusko Savanovic and I play for Power Electronics Valencia, a Turkish Airlines Euroleague Quarterfinal Playoffs team - it sounds nice, huh? I can't even begin to explain how good it is, really. This is already a very special season for all of us. We had some problems in the beginning of the season, but put in a lot of effort to change things, and this is a reward for all the tough work we did. Do you think we are happy with what we have done so far? Well, we are, but WE WANT MORE! As you probably know, we had to beat Fenerbahce Ulker by at least 3 points to advance to the playoffs. The atmosphere at the Fonteta, our homecourt, was amazing. Everyone was fully aware of how important the game was for this club and the city of Valencia. The Fonteta was completely packed, full of orange and purple - the colors of the club. There wasn't space for a needle to fit in those stands! They truly were our sixth man and what they did had a big impact in the game. We managed to make history, all together, because it is the first time that Valencia has gone this far in the Euroleague. Don't count us out, because Real Madrid gets next and we are ready to play!

What made the win against Fener even more special is that it was Rafa Martinez's birthday - and he celebrated with two late three-pointers that finished the game. He has a huge family and everyone was in the stands, so he celebrated the win with them afterward. It's funny, but the biggest present on his birthday went from him to everyone else - the way he played at the end of game. It makes you wish that every day was Rafa's birthday! Don't get me wrong, he is a terrific player, but he... more

Dusko Savanovic - Power Electronics ValenciaHello everyone, this is Dusko Savanovic of Power Electronics Valencia and THE BIG GAME has arrived! As you probably know, we play against Fenerbahce Ulker this week for a spot in the Euroleague Quarterfinal Playoffs. Everyone in Valencia is excited about this game, asking questions about it in the street. Everyone that follows basketball in Valencia is already waiting for the game on Thursday. Journalists, fans, players, coaches... Everybody! Our Euroleague season comes down to one game now, Thursday against Fener. We play at home, so the atmosphere will be just electric at the Fonteta. Everyone is ready to support us and we, as a team, have been thinking about this game at the end of the day. This is a huge opportunity for us to make it to the next round. In a word - we are ready.

If we win, we would face Real Madrid in the best-of-five playoffs. First and foremost, we have to beat Fener by at least 3 points. It is the only option we have right now, but it is a reachable one - it is not like we have to win by 25 points or something like that. Madrid is a well-known team, they beat us in the Copa del Rey semifinals and is a strong opponent, but I think we have the chance to beat them. We just played against them in Valencia and beat them in Spanish League action. I also think we are in better shape than they are. In other words, this is a unique opportunity to fight for a Final Four spot. Of course, it all comes down to the game against Fener, but looking forward, things look quite good, considering we were almost out two weeks ago!

Last week we needed to beat Zalgiris in Kaunas and wait for Olympiacos to beat Fener in order to stay alive - and... more
