Nike IJT Group A report: Olympiacos - BC FMP

Milan Macvan - FMP - Junior Tournament The second game in Group A of the Nike International Junior Tournament was a contest for only the first 15 minutes, before FMP pulled away from Olympiacos. FMP's rhythm picked up at that point with many steals leading to easy fast-break baskets. The Jaguars’ performance was capped by a Milos Dimic three-pointer at the buzzer that made it 14-25 at the end of the first quarter. With Greek coach Georgios Tsemperis pulling his best player, Zisis Sarikopoulos, who was struggling anyway, the Olympiacos attack was even shorter and with Milan Macvan and his teammates killing the Reds on the offensive end, the halftime score was 20-49, with Olympiacos remaining scoreless in the last 9 minutes of the first half. The second half was also all FMP, with the difference reaching 45 points before finishing 42-85. Macvan led the way with 20 points, Ivan Smiljanic added 13, Aleksandar Zaric 12 and Branislav Dekic 10. Antonios Chatzicharalampous led Olympiacos with 13.
