Athens schools join 3-on-3 tourney
2007 Athens Final FourDue to the growing popularity of 3-on-3 tournaments, Euroleague Basketball is thrilled to once again put on its own such tournament during the 2007 Final Four in Athens. Euroleague Basketball already had a major success with its first-ever 3-on-3 tournament in the 2003 Final Four in Barcelona and it also repeated the experience in 2005, where CSKA president Sergei Kushchenko was one of the players in the event held in Moscow. It also featured a dunk contest, a courtside announcer and prizes for various winners. Without a doubt this tournament is a great opportunity for all young people and basketball fans alike to come together in the same city during the Final Four weekend and celebrate their love of the game. The tournament is set to take place on May 3-4 from 9:00 to 17:00 in 15 half-court and a full centre court at Syntagma Square in the Greek capital. All schools in Athens are taking part in the event, there will be games and contests open to all, prizes for the winners, live music and VIP personalities, and there is no admision fee, as it is free of charge.
