Final Four to be broadcast for first time in China
CCTV - China Barcelona, 30 April 2007: Euroleague Basketball announced on Wednesday that it has signed an agreement with China's national television company to have this year's Final Four broadcast exclusively on the sports channel CCTV5. The agreement brings Euroleague Basketball to the forefront of leading brands looking towards China as a present and future partner. The broadcast of the 2007 Final Four on public television throughout China will help the country's fans get to know Euroleague Basketball at the same time that a unprecedented partnership between Euroleague Basketball and the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) is taking shape. That partnership will feature a series of camps, clinics and specialist seminars, and will culminate in exhibition games between Euroleague Basketball teams CSKA Moscow and Benetton Treviso with Team China in October.

"We are very excited about this new deal with CCTV," said Andrea Bassani, Director of Television for Euroleague Basketball. "I have to thank our partners Infront Asia who have been able to bring this deal to life and have been key participants in the negotiation with the Chinese television station. With this deal we are able to bring the best of European basketball, and the most anticipated basketball event in Europe, to fans across China. We hope that this is the beginning of a long partnership between China and Euroleague Basketball."
