Final Four events: 'Castellers', the human castles
A group of traditional "castellers" will build a human castle in Palau Sant Jordi on semifinals night, Friday, May 9, of the Euroleague Final Four. Castellers is an old Catalan custom in which people build a human tower that stands several stories tall. The castellers group that will be performing at the Final Four is "Els Minyons de Terrassa", a group who appeared for the first time on July 14th 1979, and is highly regarded as one of the best groups in all of Catalonia. Els Minyons consists of people of all ages, physical and social conditions, and was one of the first groups to actively include female participants.
