Tribute to the champs, Panathinaikos: Mike Batiste!
As the second longest-serving player on the Panathinaikos roster, center Mike Batiste has been a pillar of the Greens' success over the last decade. This season, for the first time, the powerful Batiste was selected to the All-Euroleague First Team. Then, he capped his great individual season with a monster effort at the 2011 Turkish Airlines Euroleague Final Four. Batiste was his team's top scorer (17 ppg.) and rebounder (6.5 rpg.) in Barcelona while making a remarkable 80% of his two-point shots during the weekend. Although he came off the bench in both games, Batiste was huge in the closing minutes of the final, scoring 8 points in the fourth quarter and answering every one of Maccabi Electra's late charges to assure Panathinaikos the ultimate victory. Besides enjoying his third continental crown with the Greens as much as anybody, Batiste cemented his status as a club legend for all Panathinaikos fans. Tribute to Panathinaikos: Mike Batiste
