Tribute to the champs, Panathinaikos: Stratos Perperoglou!
In his fourth season with Panathinaikos, Stratos Perperoglou again proved himself to be a central figure in the team's drive for the Turkish Airlines Euroleague title. To go along with his reputation as a defensive stopper, Perperoglou enjoyed the finest scoring season of his Euroleague career and established himself as a true three-point threat on offense. He made his biggest impact over Final Four weekend as Panathinaikos stopped dangerous Montepaschi Siena in the semifinal. Perperoglou came off the bench for 19 minutes and keyed his team's take-over run in the second quarter. In the last two-and-a-half minutes before halftime, Perperoglou sank the go-ahead triple, rejected Malik Hairston's jumper at the other end and set up Mike Batiste for a slam as the Greens reached the break with a lead they would never relinquish. Two days later, Perperoglou and the Greens were celebrating their second title together. Tribute to Panathinaikos: Stratos Perperoglou
