Tribute to the Champs: Chasson Randle

Chasson Randle was signed by Real Madrid just before the season started to provide depth in the backcourt and he was needed more than expected after Coach Pablo Laso’s roster suffered a series of injuries. This season was Randle’s first taste of EuroLeague basketball, but he was thrown in at the deep end by playing in the first seven games as his team made a strong start to the campaign. Randle ended up appearing in a total of 23 games, all from the bench, and could always be relied upon to supply an injection of speed and energy, work hard on defense and also provide an occasional scoring threat; he made 45% of his attempts from long-range. Randle also kept the ball moving with his reliable passing skills, recording an assists-to-turnover ratio of 3.14-to-1 and only committing 7 turnovers all season.
