Euroleague thanks fans, security
Euroleague Basketball and o2 World would like to express their appreciation to both fans and security services for their roles a flawless night of exceptional basketball at the Final Four on Friday in Berlin. More than 13,200 fans filled o2 World for one of the most exciting pairs of semifinals in European basketball history, in which the color, emotion and fair play in the stands matched what was seen on the playing court. Security officials reported no incidents in or around the arena involving Euroleague fans. Players and coaches on all four teams said afterward that the special atmosphere created by the fans contributed to the high quality of the games. The organization anticipates that the same mutual respect and enjoyment seen among fans during the semifinals will assure that Sunday's title game is another shining example of basketball at its best.
