Tribute to the champs, Panathinaikos: Antonis Fotsis!
Nine years after he first won a Euroleague title with Panathinaikos, forward Antonis Fotsis was back on the winners' podium in Berlin, wearing green again, but with a much bigger role than the first time. Fotsis saw more minutes than any other Panathinaikos player at the 2009 Final Four and was the team's top rebounder. He also proved a versatile threat on offense, burying a clutch triple in the fourth quarter of the title game to end a lengthy offensive drought as Panathinaikos held on for victory and a new trophy. A young veteran who has now played for four teams in four countries around the world – including three separate stints at Panathinaikos – his return home this season rewarded Fotsis with the ultimate prize, the Euroleague title. Now in the prime of his career, Fotsis will try to lead Panathinaikos back for more of the same success in years to come. Tribute to Panathinaikos 2008-09: Antonis Fotsis
