Tribute to the champs, Panathinaikos: Vassilis Spanoulis!
At the end of a season in which he proved again why he's one of the best guards in the business, Vassilis Spanoulis of Panathinaikos had the heaviest suitcase to take home. He was happy to deal with the extra baggage, though. In Berlin, Spanoulis won the Euroleague title with Panathinaikos, was voted Final Four MVP and was named to the All-Euroleague Second Team. He finished Final Four weekend as the top scorer for the Greens and a catalyst in both of his team's two-point victories. The crowning moments of Spanoulis’s still young career are a testament to his hard work and team play. A threat whenever he has the ball, Spanoulis can punish opponents with jump shots, drives or assists. His offensive prowess is rare among even the most accomplished guards and a main reason why Panathinaikos is the 2009 Euroleague champion! Tribute to Panathinaikos 2008-09: Vassilis Spanoulis
