Tribute to the champs, Olympiacos: Lazaros Papadoloulos!
It took Lazaros Papadopoulos 10 years to return to the Final Four, but when he did, he enjoyed same success with Olympiacos that he had during his first time around with Panathinaikos in Bologna 2002. Papadopoulos is one of three players that have won the title with both Panathinaikos and Olympiacos. He also belongs to a select group of six players that have lifted both the Euroleague and the Eurocup titles. Papadopoulos enjoyed extended playing time at the beginning of the season, as he helped Olympiacos survive a very tough regular season group. Injuries limited his role later and Papadopoulos' saw time in just four of the last 12 games. He was even deactivated from the Reds' roster, but re-joined the team in time to fight for Euroleague glory. Despite battling injuries the week before the Final Four, Papadopoulos earned playing time in the title game against CSKA to lend his experience to the other Olympiacos big men on the way to the team's miracle comeback victory .
