Sinan Erdem ArenaThe Turkish Airlines Euroleague Final Four returns to Istanbul after 20 years, this time taking place at Sinan Erdem Arena, Turkey’s largest multipurpose indoor venue and one of the biggest in Europe. Sinan Erdem Arena proved from its inauguration two years ago to be a perfect fit for elite basketball as served as the host site for the medal rounds at the FIBA World Championships. With sellout crowds of fans from all over the world - but especially local ones whose enthusiasm was infectious - Sinan Erdem Arena helped lift Turkish basketball to the forefront of the sport. In addition, the magnificent domed stadium was the crown jewel of a city-wide basketball party that certified the hosting prowess of the local organizers in Istanbul. Sinan Erdem Arena has quickly proven itself as a natural fit for a variety of other world-class elite sporting events. It has been chosen the home of the Women's Tennis Association Championships through 2013 and has hosted the FINA Short Course Swimming Championships and parts of the IAAF World Indoor Championships in Athletics.

Named after the late Sinan Erdem, a Turkish volleyball player and coach and the president of the National Olympic Committee of Turkey, the venue has a capacity of 22,500 spectators, but when fitted for basketball shifts into a cozy 14,535-seat arena with perfect views for all spectators, not to mention state-of-the-art team and fan services. Basketball is the sport Sinan Erdem Arena hosts most often with Turkish Airlines Euroleague side Anadolu Efes among its regular tenants. Fenerbahce Ulker also played at Sinan Erdem until it opened its own arena this season. Former Eurocup contender Besiktas Milangaz also plays there. Now in the second weekend of May, the sporting world will turn to the 2012 European capital of sports as the best four teams in the Turkish Airlines Euroleague battle for supremacy at Sinan Erdem Arena.

Regarding access to the arena, Euroleague Basketball encourages the usage of public transportation, especially the subway system. The organization also encourages not using a private vehicle to reach the venue. Interested fans should also contact their respective clubs for fan transportation on buses that is being worked out at the moment by each of the four participating clubs. Please find below other alternatives to reach the arena.
