Final buzzer: Olympiacos wins in the every last breath!
What an unbelievable finale! The comeback of Olympiacos was completed when Georgios Printezis dribbled and hit a jump shot from the baseline with 0.7 seconds to go to put Olympiacos ahead for good for the final 61-62. It is only the second time that the Reds are Euroleague champs, the other onebeing in 1997. Congratulations to the Olympiacos family. The new Turkish Airlines Euroleague champions!

Crunch time and nothing decided!
Printezis makes free throws and Olympiacos keeps full chances to win the game, 55-50, and when he takes over with a put-back basket, he just explodes with joy. Printezis has been an Olympiacos fan since he was a kid and is now hoping to pull off the upset. Martynas Gecevicius and Pero Antic just can't sit down for too long, just as Evgeny Voronov at the other end. It's crunch time and defense will win this game. A great double-team action led by Kirilenko gives CSKA the ball back. He scored in the other end, it is clear that his first Euroleague title is closer than ever is the reigning Euroleague MVP is ready to give all he has. Papanikolaou keeps pacing Olympiacos and it's official, a new star is born in Greece.

An unexpected thriller
Just when the game seemed to be over, Olympiacos held on to its chances. Sloukas, always reliable in crunch time, nailed a three-pointer and Printezis brought the Reds within single digits, 53-45. Olympiacos got the defensive stops it needed, but CSKA went back to its starting five and managed to dominate the boards again. Olympiacos's run was at 0-11 until that moment, but Keselj made it 0-14 with a wild three-pointer that made all Olympiacos fans sing louder than ever! Its' a five-point game, 53-48, and Olympiacos has held CSKA scoreless for almost five minutes. Is this going to be the biggest comeback ever seen in a Euroleague title game? Will CSKA hold on to its lead in the end?
Sunday, May 13, 21:53 CET
After three quarters: 53-40
Again, just as in the second quarter, CSKA is in the penalty and Olympiacos has 3 fouls to give. It may be the last chance for Olympiacos to try to return to the game and Spanoulis knows it. He drew a foul to go to the line and used his speed to run through a screen and give Siskauskas trouble. Even with that, Olympiacos still trails 47-34 with just 13 minutes to go and needs a major comeback to put CSKA in trouble. Siskauskas has already tied former Panathinaikos teammate Fragiskos Alvertis for eighth place in the all-time list - and tying with such a legend is big news in Final Four history. A fast break layup by Shved sends most of the CSKA fans to celebrate, as the game has been broken up late in the third quarter. Only the CSKA fans are audible at this point as even a Printezis basket brings few cheers from the powerful Olympiacos support. That changed ever so slightly as the fans from Piraeus broke into song despite a 13-point deficit through three quarter.
Sunday, May 13, 21:42 CET
After 25 minutes: 47-31
Both teams sped up the game tempo after the break. Krstic scored twice down low and Papanikolaou reached double digits in scoring but after 22 minutes, only he, Spanoulis and Antic had scored for Olympiacos. Teodosic buried another triple and all of a sudden, CSKA was up by 16. What could Olympiacos do to win the game? Attacking the basket was not enough without defensive stops. It is said that defense wins titles - and allowing just 20 points is just that. In fact, allowing 20 first-half points ties a Final Four record - Kinder allowed those many against AEK in the first half of the 1998 Euroleague final. The overall record though was 18 points in a half.
Sunday, May 13, 21:27 CET
Halftime: 34-20
Just when CSKA needed a go-to guy - and some eyes pointed elsewhere – Teodosic just exploded in a magic minute by the Serbian genius. He connected from downtown, and did it again with a catch-and-shoot... and again with a big three-pointer in transition to force Olympiacos to call timeout at 25-13. Teodosic scored 9 points in just 64 seconds. Lazaros Papadopoulos came off the bench - his first minutes in the entire Final Four, but CSKA immediately sent him to the foul line, where he usually struggles. Olympiacos still had 3 fouls to give in this quarter, which gave the Reds - today, in white – a chance to trim the deficit. Teodosic was on fire and sent a fancy pass to Darjus Lavrinovic for an easy basket. Papanikolaou and Spanoulis stepped up for the Greek powerhouse, but Olympiacos only traded baskets, even if at full speed. It was a balanced game, in which Teodosic simply made the difference so far… And has his team rolling to a 34-20 halftime lead. Looked to be even 3 more for CSKA, but Shved’s “buzzer-beater” didn’t actually beat the buzzer.
Sunday, May 13, 21:05 CET
After 15 minutes: 16-9
Olympiacos tried twin point guards with Acie Law and Kostas Sloukas together on court. Points kept coming the hard away in one of the hardest defensive battles the competition has witnessed. CSKA tried to get Shved involved to make the most out of his size advantage against Sloukas. With Spanoulis resting on the bench, it was time for Olympiacos to get Georgios Printezis involved, but Andrey Vorontsevich was all over the passing lines. Both teams struggled to score for 2 minutes until Kirilenko flew high for a tip-in. In the best play of the game until now, Siskauskas sent a bounce pass to Kaun for a nice slam. CSKA was in the penalty but it was Olympiacos who had started to allow easy baskets and Krstic gave his team a 16-9 margin.
Sunday, May 13, 20:46 CET
After 10 minutes: 10-7
CSKA accumulated 5 turnovers in as many minutes, but regrouped after a timeout. Teodosic downed a jumper and Kirilenko gave CSKA its first lead, 6-5, from the foul line. Olympiacos kept reading the game well and generating mismatches. In one of them, Kostas Papanikolaou scored over Teodosic in the low post. Olympiacos had entered the foul penalty and CSKA made sure to play with much more aggressivity in the final 3 minutes of the first quarter. Antic, now guarded by Krstic, tried to play outside the three-point line to open the floor for Spanoulis and Papanikolaou but Kirilenko and Khryapa double-teamed really well, with great quickness. Sasha Kaun checked in and rolled on the floor to pick up a steal, showing his teammates the way to win this game - fight for every ball, all of the time.

We have tip-off!
No surprises in the starting lineups - both teams present the same ones as in the semis. Ramunas Siskauskas came in tied for 10th place in the Final Four's all-time scoring list. Olympiacos scored first, on an off-balance shot off the glass. With CSKA’s first basket, Siskauskas is already into ninth on the all-time list with 141 points after moving past former Maccabi great Anthony Parker. He won't catch Nikos Galis though. He’s first with 231 points. Olympiacos follows the game plan as in the semifinal against FCB Regal - strong defense, with Joey Dorsey as its key man around the basket, and a patient offense ran through Spanoulis, who connected from downtown early. Marko Keselj is playing hard, physical defense on Kirilenko and Evangelos Mantzaris is controlling the game tempo against his former teammate Teodosic. It’s shaping up to be a great one!

Time for the Final!
Basketball fans worldwide, welcome to the Turkish Airlines Euroleague final! It's CSKA Moscow against Olympiacos for the first time in the title game. CSKA looks for its seventh continental crown, which would take it within one of all-time leader Real Madrid. Olympiacos won the 1997 Euroleague led by Coach Dusan Ivkovic - and hopes to do the same this time around. It is the fourth Euroleague final for Ramunas Siskauskas and the third for Viktor Khryapa. We have been told that Nikita Kurbanov, Anton Ponkrashov and Dmitry Sokolov won’t dress for CSKA. As for Olympiacos, Acie Law is battling an ankle injury, but has dressed and will try to play. Lazaros Papadopoulos, who sat out against FC Barcelona Regal, is back in action to play his first Euroleague final in 10 years. Last time around, Papadopoulos helped the Reds’ archrival Panathinaikos to lift the Euroleague trophy in 2002 with a key role off the bench. Olympiacos will wear white and CSKA, which features three current or former Euroleague MVPs in Milos Teodosic, Andrei Kirilenko and Siskauskas, will be in its traditional red. FC Barcelona Regal ends third: 69-74
The depth and plethora of option s that made Barcelona so great all season long came shining through in the final minutes. Chuck Eidson, who was scoreless for his first seven quarters of the Final Four stepped up with a shot-clock beating triple followed shortly after by a second basket to put Barcelona ahead by 8 with just under four minutes to play. That didn’t stop Panathinaikos through, which cut the deficit in half on another put-back jam by Maric. After players from both sides missed chances to ice it, Marcelinho – the hero of Barca’s early surge with 19 first-half points – came through with his first points of the second half to lift his team to 67-73 with 31.6 seconds remaining, which practically sealed the win. As the last seconds ticked off the clock, fans of all four teams rose to give Panathinaikos and Barcelona fitting sendoff after fantastic Turkish Airlines Euroleague seasons!

After three quarters: 52-58
Panathinaikos tried a taller lineup with Kaimakoglou at small forward to guard Eidson. A really motivated, full-of-energy Rabaseda had a big block against Logan, in one of the best plays until now. Panathinaikos had started to power the offensive boards, but its shot selection was poor. Panathinaikos fans and their many songs - repeated over and over - kept filling their players with intensity. Maric responded to that intensity with three dunks and the Greens played with much more determination on offense. Panathinaikos kept feeding Maric down low and he singlehandedly brought his team within 43-49. C.J. Wallace swished a three-pointer, as everyone could feel the rivalry between Panathinaikos and Olympiacos, with both groups of fans chanting against each other, generating a one-of-a-kind atmosphere to the amazement of any neutral fan. Ingles kept taking advantage of his extended playing time and shined late in the third quarter. Diamantidis hit a three-pointer to keep the Greens within 52-58 after 30 minutes.
Sunday, May 13, 18:34 CET
Halftime: 37-48
Barcelona was back to its usual blaugrana jersey. Wearing brand new colors has not been good for them this season, losing against Olympiacos in aqua green Friday and against Banca Civica in black earlier on. The intensity level rose in the second quarter, as Barcelona found a new go-to guy in Victor Sada. Panathinaikos' experienced three delivered a classic play in Euroleague Basketball this decade, seen many times - high post pick-and-roll, Diamantidis inside to Batiste, kickout pass to Kostas Tsartsaris for a corner triple. The game is a fun-to-watch game, with both teams trying to offer a very good show. Wallace and Perovic gave Barcelona different options on offense, but their team only traded baskets now. Logan provided some showtime with a fast break slam to keep Panathinaikos within 29-32. Nick Calathes took Huertas to the low post ofte,n but Barcelona's playmaker kept dominating the game tempo and scoring fluidly. A put-back layup by Vazquez gave Barcelona its biggest lead until that moment, 33-42. Huertas finished the first half with 19 points and just one missed shot. C.J. Wallace had 7 to give Barcelona a 37-48 lead at halftime.
Sunday, May 13, 17:56 CET
End of first quarter: 20-21
With the Greek League finals and the Spanish League playoffs coming up really soon, it was clear that Panathinaikos and Barcelona would use different rotations to get ready for their next opponents, Olympiacos and Lucentum Alicante, respectively. All the Panathinaikos starters came off the bench against CSKA Moscow. Barcelona used Chuck Eidson and Pete Mickeal at both wings in case Navarro's foot injury prevents him from seeing a lot of playing time from now on. David Logan and Nick Calathes, more comfortable in a high-rhythm game, gave Panathinaikos an early 5-6 lead. Coach Zeljko Obradovic was as intense as ever from the very beginning. His body language was the same as in any of the Euroleague finals he has coached in. The same could be said about Panathinaikos fans, who gave amazing support to their team. Marcelinho Huertas had 11 early points, which forced Panathinaikos to bring Dimitris Diamantidis off the bench for just the second time this season. Xavi Rabaseda made his Final Four debut late in the first quarter and Joe Ingles buried a big three-pointer off the dribble, showcasing the one-on-one skills that brought him from Australia to Granada to Barcelona. Even with that, Diamantidis, Mike Batiste and Aleks Maric brought Panathinaikos within 20-21 after 10 minutes.
