The 2013 Turkish Airlines Euroleague Final Four Fan Zone has been an unprecedented success, taking European club basketball's signature level to a new level. Over 50,000 fans attended the Fan Zone at Trafalgar Square throughout the weekend - since its grand opening at 11am with a celebrity basketball game organized by Euroleague’s social responsibility program One Team involving Special Olympics youngsters, UEFA football legends and Euroleague greats. The Fan Zone will opened to the general publish on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 to 19:00 local time and featured booths from all of Euroleague Basketball’s and the London Final Four’s chief sponsors - highlighted by a weather-proof Turkish Airlines Main Court, two full courts complete with a 15-meter-high roof, in the middle of the square. The Intersport booth had the Euroleague championship trophy on display and official Euroleague merchandise for sale. Efes Pilsener was present with a number of initiatives, including the Cheerleading Academy, a sports bar and a series of Like Stations, from which Euroleague fans could show their support for their teams and win prizes. Spalding, VTB Arena, adidas and of course Turkish Airlines were among the many other sponsors whose presences are felt. Click on the time lapse video above to see its construction process!
