Euroleague Basketball and Audi announce partnership
Barcelona, April 23th 2008.
Euroleague Basketball and Audi are proud to announce a new partnership that will bring Euroleague Basketball and the global car manufacturing leader together at the 2008 Final Four this spring. Audi will take part in Euroleague Basketball's signature event from May 2 to 4 in Madrid, Spain, joining other household names such as Nestlé, L'Oreal, United Biscuit and Nokia that also have participated in recent editions of the Final Four. In the short span of seven years, the Final Four, which already has sold out the 14,000-seat Community of Madrid Sports Palace, has become one of the world's most widely followed sporting events.
Audi integrates values like dynamism, high technology, elegance and innovative design. The sportiness is another important standard in the four rings brand, like the team who makes possible to get all the key aims. For these reasons, Audi will be at the disposal of Euroleague Final Four guests throughout the weekend with models like the all new Audi A4, Audi A6, Audi A8 and Audi Q7. Audi will be the official car of choice for all VIP personalities in attendance, as well as for the legends from 50 years of European Club Basketball who will be honoured during the Final Four.
Euroleague Basketball Marketing and Partnership Director Pedro Galvan said: "We welcome this agreement with Audi as a chance for Euroleague Basketball to join forces with another global partner who recognizes the value of Euroleague Basketball's devoted customers from all corners of the world."
Audi Brand Director, Manuel Caballero, supports Audi’s engagement with sport. “From the very beginning, Audi Spain has cooperated and created ties with premium sports. One of the main purposes of our brand is communicate the sportiness of Audi. It is the perfect combination between excellent quality and reflects the premiumness of our cars. Audi is associated to top level sports such as golf, sailing or football (Real Madrid and FC Barcelona).
