Final Four symposium tackles the evolution of the game
Euroleague Basketball will host its Final Four symposium this season on the topic of "50 years of European Club Competitions: The evolution of the game on and off the court." The annual symposium featuring a select group of speakers will take place on Saturday, May 3 from 10:30 to 12:30 at the Press Conference Room at the site of the 2008 Euroleague Basketball Final Four, the Community of Madrid Sports Palace. Access to the event is from Goya Street.

The symposium is open to Final Four guests, media and students of the Masters in Sports Marketing and Communications that Euroleague Basketball has organized together with the Universita Ca’ Foscari in Venice (Italy).

The event will consist of five presentations – each of them 10 minutes – to show different perspectives on the topic. The symposium participants will include: Borislav Stankovic, Secretary General Emeritus of FIBA and a founding father of European club competitions; ULEB President Eduardo Portela, who will offer views from the perspective of national leagues; Maccabi Elite Tel Aviv President Shimon Mizrahi, who will provide a club president's perspective: Lottomatica Roma team manager Dejan Bodiroga, offering both a player’s and general manager’s point of view; and head coaches Aito Garcia Reneses of DKV Joventut and Sergio Scariolo of Unicaja Malaga, offering their perspectives as coaches. After the presentations, a question and answer session will follow.
