FMP wins NIJT Final!
2008 NIKE International Junior Tournament
FMP, Junior Tournamet Champion - AXA FC Barcelona - Junior Tournament Final Four Madrid 2008
FMP is the winner of the 2008 edition of the Nike International Tournament after an 80-70 triumph over AXA FC Barcelona in the final Sunday. In front of hundreds of fans who gathered at the Community of Madrid Sports Palace hours before the Euroleague final will be decided, the club from Serbia showed once again that it is the best junior team in Europe. FMP dominated Barcelona from the tip-off till the final buzzer and only a run by Barca in the closing minute made it a 10-point loss. Dejan Musli was elected as the MVP of the tournament and after scoring 25 points and grabbing 14 rebounds in the final. Bojan Subotic added 21 points and 8 rebounds and Andrija Milutinovic scored 18 for the winners. Along with Musli, the All-Tournament team features Cibona forward Tomislav Zubcic, AXA guard Daniel Perez, Zalgiris center Donatas Motiejunas and FMP guard Andrija Milutinovic.
