2004-05 All-Euroleague team, MVP announced

The top Euroleague Basketball players of the 2004-05
season were honored at a gala dinner attended by a world basketball
elite in Moscow, Russia on Saturday night. The All-Euroleague team
was formed by Maccabi's point guard Saras Jasikevicius,
Tau Ceramica shooting guard Arvydas Macijauskas,
Maccabi Elite's swingman Anthony Parker, CSKA Moscow's
power forward David Andersen and Maccabi Elite big
man Nikola Vujcic. The results, after a voting by
an experts panel, decided that Maccabi's Parker was also the undisputed
MVP for the Euroleague 2004-05 season.

The All-Euroleague
Second Team features point guard Jaka Lakovic of Panathinaikos
and shooting guard Charles Smith of Scavolini, small
forward Marcus Brown of CSKA Moscow, power forward
Luis Scola of Tau Ceramica and center Tanoka
Beard of Zalgiris. The awards dinner also recognized Dimitris
Diamantidis of Panathinaikos as the Best Defender Trophy winner,
Scavolini's Charles Smith as the Alphonso Ford Top
Scorer Trophy winner and Erazem Lorbek of Climamio
Bologna as the Rising Star Trophy winner. All awards were based on media
voting except the top scorer, based on best average points during the
season.
