Tribute to the champs, Regal FC Barcelona: Boniface Ndong!
In his first season at Regal FC Barcelona, center Boniface Ndong plugged smoothly into the team's frontcourt rotation to become a major force at both ends of the court. His pick-and-roll dunks and sweet mid-range jumpers made Ndong one of the surest shots in the competition, while his rebounding and shot blocking fortified the Euroleague's top defense. It was no surprise, then, to see him rank ninth among Euroleague players this season in per-minute performance index rating. Ndong proved himself in Paris, too, especially with a pair of key baskets after Olympiacos made a third-quarter charge in the title game. He dunked to revive his team and soon capped an 8-0 run with a jump shot, putting Barcelona in control until Ndong became the first Senegalese and the third African to call himself a Euroleague champion!
