Tribute to the champs, Regal FC Barcelona: Victor Sada!
From his days on the club's youth teams through its rise to this season's Euroleague title, Victor Sada has lived and breathed Regal FC Barcelona basketball. The pesky playmaker was a teenage prospect who occasionally trained with Barcelona's 2003 title team before making his Euroleague debut the following season. Six years later, he's a full-fledged Euroleague champ, having contributed energy and determination all season as a backup point guard. Although he didn't play at all in Barcelona's semifinal win in Paris, when his turn came in the title game, Sada was ready. In 21 minutes, he didn't miss a shot and matched the team-high in assists. What's more, his triple to beat the 24-second clock keyed an 8-0 third-quarter run, after which Barcelona never looked back, earning Sada his first Euroleague title.
