First Final Four Player Development Clinic a success
The first Final Four Player Development Clinic held Saturday at the Sonja Henie Court in the Palais Omnisports Paris Bercy was an overwhelming success with over 100 players and coaches from around Europe and the Unites States in attendance. Thanks to the collaboration of Nike and the Euroleague, Nike SPARQ (Speed, Power, Agility, Reaction and Quickness) Master Basketball Trainer Christopher Thomas, founder of 100% Hoops, lectured and demonstrated techniques in a session titled a session “Functional Movement & SPARQ Training for Basketball Development.” The training objective of the session was to improve the quality of basketball players by helping them appreciate the effects of positive attitude, work ethic, self-discipline and self-determination. The event took place Saturday on one of the courts used for the Nike International Junior Tournament shortly after the first round games of that competition came to a close. The Player Development Clinic follows in the tradition of the coaching clinic, which was a popular Final Four tradition in the past.
